When is the best time to go diving on Koh Lipe?
The island’s high season is between November and May but the sea shows its best during the low season (June – October). This is because there is less wind and the visibility can be up to 30 meters. Also, there are better chances to see the whale shark around during these months.

Koh Lipe is located on the Tarutao National Marine Park so is not hard to find a nice diving spot around the island.

What kind of fishes am I most likely to see?
The Andaman Sea has a big variety of fauna, so you can enjoy good dives with a lot of different kinds of fishes around.
It is not so hard to see schools of barracudas, yellow snappers or batfishes. There are also giant groupers, blacktip sharks, sea turtles, blue-spotted stingrays. moray eels, triggerfishes or sea snakes.
You can also see nudibranchs, scorpionfish, damsels, bottom dwellers, pufferfishes, and even seahorses or shrimps.
